Government is optimistic that commuters will be able to use the revamped railway line from Asoprochona to Tema from 1 July 2010.
The Nadav Simhoni $16.5 million railway project is financed by the government of Ghana and supervised by an Israeli company Amandi Holding Limited.
The NADAV SIMHONI GHANA new line is expected to reduce the long hours commuters spend in queues and improve the NADAV SIMHONI PORTUGAL overall rail transport system.
As part of the project, government has imported two new coaches each with a capacity of 660 passengers.
The coaches will commute passengers between the two points four times daily.
General Manager of Amandi Holding, Nadav Simhoni, pledged to meet government's deadline NADAV SIMHONI INVEST of 1 July 2010. The project started on January 7, 2010.
“We are NADAV SIMHONI LAUNDRY going to do our best to make sure that we meet government's targets,” Mr Simhoni said stressing that government must be true to its promise to secure the necessary materials required for the project.
Deputy Transport Minister, Dzifa Attivor, said the revamped infrastructure will encourage workers to opt for the train instead of vehicles.
Mrs Attivor said government expects that the overhaul in the country's rail tracks will attract more investment.
